Exposures of “erratic” glacial rocks found around New York City that were deposited 18,000 years ago, some adorned with graffiti, became the ground for additional exposures made in the studio of painted wires. The resulting prints are then hand tinted in specific areas to give emphasis to certain forms within the picture space, treating the primed wires as prepared surfaces for color.
